Hi Everybody! Just some background. My system is a ASRock Z87 Killer motherboard,Intel Xeon E3-1245V3, 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3, GTX970 and Windows 10 Pro. Recently added 16GB more RAM to my system but im unable to get windows to see the additional RAM. I played around with BIOS Settings, changing the timing to 1600, then back to 1333. Changed the DRAM voltage +5, then an additional +5, used the XMP profile but Im unable to make the system see it. My ASRock motherboard has a system monitor that has GUI which allows you to see what is filled and unfilled in the BIOS. The BIOS sees all 4 sticks and reads 32GB ram sometimes, once i reboot and go back into the BIOS, it only reads two 8 GB sticks. I used CPU-Z and it reads all the RAM. It shows me the timings and the voltages. The only thing i noticed was that my original RAM runs at a CAS latency of 7, while the new RAM I installed runs at 6, which is strange considering its the same pack of RAM, just 3 years later. I did my research and work in IT. In theory you should be able to put the same RAM sticks together as long as they have the same CAS, Speed, and make/model. Im having some other problems with my motherboard such as headphone jacks not working or sounding fuzzy, so it wouldn't surprise me if the motherboard was going bad. Thought about flashing the BIOS, but wasn't too keen on the idea. If you guys think it will help fix it, i'll go ahead and flash it, but i've had other problems with the motherboard before not turning on and reading the PSU, so just a little cautious about flashing it.

Solution
both sticks are the same model, same voltage?

if they come form the same pack, they should

the only reason for this is a bios upgrade required

the worst case is a mainboard incompatibility with that brand in particular, it is rare but it happens, in fact when i have seen this happen is with asus and asrock, wth corsair and kingston

once you remove the new onle or leave the new one, all s back to normal right?

try a bios upgrade if available, but first be sure tha the new ram stick can work alone on that or in another pc

Solution
Mixing multiple kits can cause a PC to be unable to boot or unable to operate at rated specifications. Such combinations have not been tested together and carry no guarantee they will work together.

Corsair suggests to try lowering the clock speed to get it to work.

I had the same idea. So i took out my old ram and put the new ram in A1 and B1 to enable dual channeling, it picked it up right away no problems. Put the old in A2 and B2 and booted into the BIOS and picked up all 4 DIMMs. Rebooted again to make sure it could see it, then rebooted into Windows and it only saw 16GB. Also, the RAM is from the same pack. I originally built my computer with 16GB like 3 years ago, and just purchased the 2nd pack of the RAM a few days ago. So its not a 32GB Kit sold by NewEgg. I looked and i have a few BIOS updates available so, ill flash it to the newest which i think is 1.70.
