hey guys im thinking of buying 16gb ddr4 of ram im not sure weather to buy hyper x ddr4 2133 as thats the brand i have atm with 8gb of ram at 2133mhz or if i should save like 15£ and get corsair 16gb ddr4 3000mhz, if i buy the corsair one will i run into any issues because ive used a different brand in pc for around a year? or is RAM strictly plug and play ? also does ram help with gaming for fps and performance? worth the money ? for games like BF1 and h1z1 my memory usually at like 78% on h1z1 bf1 even higher with high CPU usage!, also will more RAM help with Streaming games on twitch ? thanks for help :)!

No problem, a 6600k is overkill for h1z1 it may seem like its at high cpu usage but thats just because it has no hyperthreading. You will never really get bottlenecked from your CPU ever.

I'll try to sum this up as easily as I can and try to answer all your questions.

The difference between 3200Mhz ram and 3000Mhz ram is very very little and if you save 15£ on it I'd say go with the 3000Mhz ram IF you motherboard can support this speed (Not all motherboards can support any speed of ram) so make sure your motherboard is capable of DDR4 at 3000Mhz speed first.

Ram is Plug and Play yes, but you can not take 2 different ram sticks and use them together so lets say you use 1 stick of hyper x ddr4 2133 RAM and put a stick of Corsair vengeance 3000Mhz Ram this will not work you will run into many problems do not try that. When using ram always use the same exact brand (Literally use the Same exact sticks)

Ram can help with performance yes, some games more then others. H1z1 I could see it helping a bit as that game does take up a decent chuck of RAM and the extra speed should help quite a bit.

as for the high cpu usage in H1z1 and Bf1, What CPU are you using with what cooler and what overclock? H1z1 and BF1 are poorly optimized games so high cpu usage and even GPU usage are bound to happen while playing games like that. but most CPU's can handle it even FX 6300's can handle h1z1 with ease as long as you are only gaming.

As for ram helping with streaming games on twitch, the more memory you have the better for this as you don't want to be running high% usage on your ram while gaming and streaming you will most likely experience FPS loss or (Frame drops on OBS) If you are using OBS this is mostly a CPU heavy program so a good CPU like a i7-6700k should have little issues playing and streaming because of the hyper threading. But you can always go better.

Hope I have been of some help.

thanks for your help dude! my CPU cooler is cryorig h7 and my cpu is 6600k its not overclocked tho and my cpu usage is at around 80-95% on h1z1 just gaming doing nothing else on pc. thanks dude
