GTX 1060 requires 6-pin connector but has 8-pin connector?

I recently purchased a PNY GTX 1060 3GB Overclocked at 1582 MHz (model: Geforce GTX 1060 VCGGTX10603XGPB-OC-BB). On the back of the box, under the "Minimum System Requirements" section, it states "One 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector", however on the card itself, there is only an 8-pin connector. Is this just a misprint, or am I able to get away with using a 6-pin connector?

Solution
It is possible it may work but I do not encourage you to run a 6pin if it has an 8pin. It could potentially undervolt the card and cause issues when rendering, it may not work or cause damage from undervolting the components (though unlikely to I would think).

Someone else on the forums here got away with just using a 6-pin, claiming it works just fine, but I'd definitely run 8-pin power to it if at all possible. If it exists, it's probably there for a reason after all.
