Hi, I just bought a new pre built system for gaming and dont have a lot of time on my hands due to kids and rl to research stuff anymore. I have a Benq XL2411z monitor and have just bought this system

Few questions,
Best way to connect it to my monitor (HDMI.....VGA???)
Do I need to do anything and what is the freesync thing to get it setup?
Settings only allow me maximum 60hz, sure I used to have it set higher, is this right pr do I want it higher and how can I do this?
Got win 10 home, should I upgrade to pro, benefits for gaming or system speed?
Any other reasonably simple tips of things I should do to make the system better for gaming?
Any help would be much appreciated, afraid im not that clued up on pc and gfx stuff anymore?
