So my Segate hard drive is 2TB's but something has happened and its 450GB's.
I'm using Windows 8.1 and when I checked Disk Management there was no black line going across my Seagate drive.

The title and your text don't mesh.

Title:
"2TB Segate Hard Drive only shows up as 450GB's"

Text:
"So my Segate hard drive is 450GB's but something has happened and its 450GB's."

Disk Management shows it as a 500GB drive. (465GB actual)
So which is it?

Fixed it?
Oh...fixed the text.

Do you have part number for this drive?
Speccy can show that, or open up the case and read it off the drive.

Hi

Are you saying the hard disk was originally 2 TB
You partitioned and formstted it to use all the space

And latter is appears to be 500GB?

There is software which can make a modern sata hard disk pretend to be smaller than it is.
But the parition would probably be corrupted

Does the bios report the hard disk model and size?

Regards
Mike Barnes

The BIOS does detect the Hard Drive's full size (2tb)

So I found out what had happened, the drive was 500GB's not 2TB's even though the box and amazon listing said it was 2TB's, if it was not for you I wouldn't of found that out.
