OS Drive no longer in AHCI after adding two new SSDs in RAID 0

So, yesterday I added 2 new 500GB Samsung 850 EVOs to my build in RAID 0. I have my OS installed on a Samsung 840 EVO, everything boots, but I get a message in Samsung Magician that the Drive is no longer in AHCI mode. I am wondering if there is a way to get this activated again while still having my RAID array active. (I got 1 500GB ssd as a gift, but wanted a TB, so I just bought another 500 and went Raid.. in case anyone asks why RAID?)

Also.. Is this even something worth worrying about?

Solution
No, the option is AHCI or RAID. They are the two settings to choose from. Samsung Magician may have difficulty seeing the individual drives is the only potential problem. HWInfo should see them individually and you can still run TRIM from Windows Defrag.

As someone who has SSD's in RAID0 myself I can tell you it'll be fine, but make regular backups because all you have to do is delete the RAID array and all your data is gone in the blink of an eye. I'd recommend getting a 1 or 2tb 3.5" drive and backin up every single night if you can. Use Windows backup and set a schedule to do it automatically.

Hey thanks a ton for this. That makes sense, and kind of what I was thinking.. Just wanted to be on the safe side as I have never really messed with RAID too terribly much in the past. I do have another 2TB HDD for storage, so that is a good idea.

So the 2 SSDs are the only drives that are in the RAID array, but it still has my OS drive and my storage drive being ran in RAID configuration correct?

So even though I have 3 SSDs and only 2 are in a Raid array, it considers them all as being in RAID configuration ? and I can't use rapid mode because SSM is not detecting the 2 drives that are raided?

from what i remember messing around with samsung magician is that is if you have 2 SSD drives only one of them can use R.A.P.I.D mode. as for having 2 combined in a RAID array i am not sure if the option would be available

Yeah everything in RAID mode, even single drives. AHCI doesnt support hardware RAID.
