I'm of course on PC and after starting up watch dogs, when the game play starts after 1-40 seconds the game will freeze, the monitor will turn off and on, and then the game crashes.
I have tried all the common fixes such as verifying integrity of the game cache, reinstalling, updating drivers, and I have ensured my PC can run it and when it was running I was getting 40-60 FPS on low settings.
I have noticed that after it crashes my Radeon settings seem to reset themselves, I don't know if this just happens whenever there is a crash but I know the software is up-to-date so I don't know what is wrong.
My System specs are: Processor:AMD A10-6700 APU Memory: 8192MB RAM Graphics card:Sapphire Radeon R9 380 2GB GDDR5 (compact version)

Same here and my system is more powerful. Mine even crashes if you just click video settings. The only one thing I can help you with is that if you turned vsync off of your monitor than turn it back on because the game will at least load in first mission then crash after doing that.

after some trial and error while attempting to fix my ongoing crashes every time i start to play watch dogs 2. tried every possible trick and i just got tired of it. nothing worked.
However, here is what fixed my problem. I reset my memory overclock from (2400MHz) to stock (1600 MHz) in Bios. I can play for as long as i want with no crashes at last.
My specs are.
intel i7 4790K 8M Cache. Stock clocks with turbo boost on
GTX 970 4GB from Gigabytes fully overclocked
crucial ballistix sport 16GB stock 1600MHz
GA Z97 n wifi Mobo from Gigabytes
600 watts psu from silverstone gold plus
120 GB ssd+2TB WD black+ 111GB hdd + another external 120GB hard drive for backup and temp files.
try to check your memory some games dont like mem OC.
good luck
