So I have an Acer Aspire XC-603G, which I have been receiving mixed answers as to whether or not I can install a better graphics card into or not. All I am trying to do is run a game that requires NVIDIA GeForce or equivalent at the minimum and was told my graphics card is too out of date for this game to possibly even launch, never mind run. I humbly request an honest answer as to if I can, and what the best option would be if it is possible. Please, I just want to play my game, even if it lags. I also don't want to break my system either. I can afford maybe a $200 part at the most. I can't afford an all new desktop with the specs I need, as the cost of even just the tower in my area is $700 at the least. Below are my exact specs on my system.

UPDATE: I have also been told my processor is also out of date and I have no clue if that can be upgraded as well or not... Please help.

That is a pretty old CPU. Looks like it uses a FCBGA-1170 which is meant for budget purposes, not gaming. It is also used to power netbooks (remember those?). As far as adding a GPU, I am not sure. I've been looking for a specs on the motherboard, but unable to find it. I will go out on a limb, and say that it is not able to do it. You can try to find a old cheap $50-60 GPU and see if that works, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Thank you. That is all I needed to know. I will try seeing if my local Rent-A-center has something better in stock that I can reasonably afford. With any luck I will find something better than my current dinosaur. Again, thank you for letting me know.

Look, I know times are tough, but please don't lease a computer. They will charge you 3 times the amount. For example, you can get a PS4 for $299 brand new at walmart, but RAC will have you pay $1000 over 24 months. If you can wait, just save up (you'll spending money anyway), and buy a nice decent computer for $500-600. Just something to think about.

True... I did find an Alienware desktop tower at Walmart for just under $900. I'll save up for that. I've heard good things about Alienware. Thank you for the advice. It is deeply appreciated.
