CPU: I7 4790
GPU: ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC
16GB RAM
Power Supply:Corsair CX650M
1TB HD

Two days ago on Christmas, I got a GTX 1070 Strix along with a power supply to power it. Only two days later when I was in the middle of playing CSGO, my computer suddenly just shut off and it wont turn back on. I checked if anything was disconnected from Power supply and nothing was disconnected. The only thing that indicates the power supply is still working is my GPU, a little white light is on, but other than that nothing works.

Solution
Test you PSU with a multimeter, just remember a PSU has to be underload to correctly display its woring voltages, You can try the paperclip test to jump the pins to ground to see if the fans kick on.

There are two psu wires that you can join together i think it's green and black to bypass the switch in the psu. Do this prior to replacement but look that up I'm guessing on colors. This is a trick incase anyone wants to use a power supply not plugged into a motherboard should work on all psu. From there test ram one at a time interchanging them one at a time. Remove HDD and eaCh component one at a time until different diagnostics appear. Look for swelled capacitors on motherboard tops should be flat. Pull cmos battery and short terminals 10 seconds, replace. And try again.
Give us feedback plz. If is windows 10 look for more hints in Win 10 section her especially if was trial version. Drivers for yiur hardware should be updated from manufacturer as windows drivers are old and will heat things up. Get free driver updater then update windows again and again and again. If you get it running that is. Sounds like cpu or memory issue potential capacitor onboard or PSU or stupid win 10
Take computer apart one piece at a time until resolved. Remove and replace again all pieces upon test and reset cmos often during tests.
Give us feedback on everything including solution.
