What do I need to look for in a replacement fan. Amps? Volts?

Hey guys,

I had a fan that recently went bad, and it was a 12V, 0.30A 90mm fan.
I need to find a replacement fan online but I am not sure what to look for. Should the amps be no higher than 0.30 or does that not matter as much as long as it is 12V?
I have a soldering kit I am going to need to use for the connector anyway so connector is irrelevant right now. thanks for the advice.

Fans use DC power, DC will only provide the amount of current needed for the resistor, the resistor being the load(aka your fan)

So it does not matter what fan you pick AS LONG AS ITS 12v and 90mm. The current does not matter, unless its a laptop, than get one thats rated 12v .30A, otherwise just pick any 12v 90mm fan and it will work perfectly for your application.

the reason if its a laptop you dont want to go higher than .30A is because laptops are designed to provide specific amounts of power, a PC can provide a large range so that Ma draw does not matter.
