So I just received a new 1060 GPU and I can't install the drivers for it. When I try to install through
the nVidia installer I get the message "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." during system check. What is odd is that my monitor is working through the graphics card right now.

I also saw some advice that told me to update Windows, and I saw the updates:

"nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3, Graphics Adapter WDDM2.0 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB"

But they failed to install and I don't know what to do!

Please help as soon as possible!

My specs are:
CPUP: i5-3550
MOBO: ASRock H77 Pro4-M

And the problem is that I can't install the drivers, the Windows update failed and the nVidia installer does not detect the card

You don't want to install from Windows, you need to install from the GeForce Experience. Or manually find the driver on www.nvidia.com - which is why I asked what version of Windows do you have.

I TRIED to install from GeForce Experience.. That is what I said in my original post, and I got the message "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

My current version of Windows is 1607.

The only reason I think it may be a software issue and not a dead card is that my monitor is currently working through the GPU

Did you try to manually download it from www.nvidia.com with teh 1607 version?
