hey,so i have an ASUS x555Lb laptop whic has a 4gb of ram installed on the motherboard already,its all godd but when i add my 4gb of ram to an free ram socket the pc only reads the 4gb of ram which i added.My laptop ony reads motherboard ram or the ram i put in the socket,doesnt read the both at once.When i add my ram then motherboard ram just dissapears,when i take it out then the motherboard ram works fine.What could the problem be?

They both need to be the same sticks, same speed, preferably Dual channel pairs if your Mobo support its, otherwise it will only recognize one of them.
