Lately i've been noticing that my alienware x51 r2 isnt doing so well in the newer more buffier games. I've had it since mid of 2014. Dont judge, i was brand new to gaming pcs when i bought it.
Specs:
AMD radeon r9 270
2x8 gb ram
Intel i7-4790
It can run gta 5 at around 40-50 fps and the new remastered cod at 40-50 fps lowest settings.
I saved up around $650 and was wanting to upgrade my pc and get a new tower to fit liquid cooling and a new graphics card.
Wondering if i should get a gtx 1070 or save for a few more months and get a 1080 and everything else.
I dont stream but i may record a few games. I have a 1080p monitor 60hz, so im not running games in 4k or anything.
I was also wondering if there was a need to upgrading your motherboard or if its fine to keep my alienware one and transfer it to a new tower along with the new graphics card.
Tell me if i missed something. Im not very smart with most things pertaining to computers.
