I'm selling my r7 260 1gb model from sapphire to my friend, but I noticed that his card is a very good performing card, which is the 550 ti from nvidia. He only plays games at 900p, which is 1600x900, so is it worth it if he buys my 260x? BTW, my 260x is the oc version from sapphire. I mean I had a very good experience playing with the 260x on a 1080p resolution, it crushed games at 1080p ultra settings. So in simpler words, is it worth it to upgrade his card to the 260x which is the card I used.

Solution
The 750 Ti beats the 550 Ti by a reasonably significant margin. The 260x is nearly the same under most workloads as the 750 Ti, sometimes a bit slower. I would think it would be a decent upgrade.

If I was your friend I'd want the 260x, it's a better card. He's only at 900p now but who knows what the future holds?

edit: One thing though, how good of a deal are you giving him? I mean, it would have to be pretty good to make a 1gb card worth buying if he already has a 1gb videocard. Otherwise if I was him I would consider nothing less than a 2gb card an upgrade.
