I've used MSI afterburner,Nvidia system oc tools..Their settings took place successfully and the games got really well in graphics..But the major problem is when I restart my pc after saving overclocking setting..The system gets unstable, takes much more time to bootup and sometimes doesnt boot.
I have 8gb hyperx ddr4 2133mhz
550w corsair PSU
i-5 6600(non k)
Gigabyte H170-D3H.

No reason to manually overclock GeForce 1000-series cards because Nvidia's new GPUBoost basically does it for you. Just tweak the fan curve or the power/temperature limits to increase performance.
If you overclock something and your system becomes unstable, this means you need to back down on the overclock. After you overclock you need to run stress and stability tests before you can say it works. It sounds to me like you overclocked it, played games, then thought it's successful. it's not successful until your system is stable.
