Hello, I recently had some issues with my PC, and had to change my motherboard to the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2. I used to get black screens when using my previous motherboard and after troubleshooting through all options, I changed the motherboard, got a used one as I was on quite a budget and I simply wanted to make my PC running again and not make any unnecessary upgrades.
Anyways, the GA-78LMT-S2 keeps giving me the error message on post as follows
"The current system does not support the CPU.
If wish to continue, the CPU will be
underclocked to maintain system stability."
I thought that updating the bios would solve the problem. It didn't. It keeps up with the same message. My motherboard is rev. 1.2. It was easily identified from the color scheme itself, so I don't believe that I used the wrong bios update file.
I also checked the CPU compatibility list on the gigabyte site, and it seems my specific motherboard wasn't listed there.
I do have a feeling that I maybe stuck at my underclocked CPU until my future upgrade, but would anyone know how would I be able to return my clock speeds to the usual? Or atleast stop the error message from popping on POST?
Thank You.
