Hey Guys

I wanted to buy pair of 140 Corsair AF fans for my case ( non LED ) . because they seem to be so silent . but people say you gotta control them in order to make them that silent . and this is the part i get confused . correct me if i'm wrong , controlling means connecting the fans directly to motherboard instead of PSU ? because Motherboard spins the fans according to the temps . if this is not what they meant then what is ? Cant i just connect them to the motherboard and hope they will perform as quiet as possible ?

Solution
depends on your bios

mine you can just pick

silent--normal-fast with one click

or you can plot out a custom fan curve as well--takes a little longer --but probably a lot of motherboards cant do custom curves

so probably would be silent --normal--fast/loud or something like that
