Will upgrading my CPU make a difference from my current build?

Hi all!

I'm currently running a cheap little AMD Athlon X4 760K Quad Core Processor at 3.9GHz. I'm looking to upgrade to an Intel i5 4690k with a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 motherboard and the totally unoriginal Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler. I have a whole zero experience of overclocking, but looking to get up to 4GHz just because I like the round number honestly.

It's gonna cost around £350 ($430-ish) to build, with next-day shipping!

Is this gonna be worth it? Will I actually notice a difference when playing games like Rust, ArmA, The Division? My GPU is a old 750ti, but holds up well enough for me. Any help is appreciated.

Bit worried about my PSU, it is a Corsair CX500w. Heard some bad things about it, will this affect an overclock? And thankyou for the quick reply!
