Replacement of CPU Causes Issues

Yesterday I replaced my AMD FX-6300 with an AMD FX-8350. (M5A99FX Pro R2.0 MOBO) I powered up the pc and I got the ASUS screen saying that it noticed a new CPU and I should head to the BIOS. I said ok and after looking it over briefly, I clicked the save changes and reset. The PC reboots and I get to the usual press F2/DEL to get to the BIOS before it boots to Windows (Windows 10). As soon as it attempts to boot windows, it powers down and reboots.

It remains in this loop indefinitely, unless I tell it to go to the BIOS.

Some additional information: After encountering this issue, I told the BIOS to reset everything back to defaults, this had no change. I then updated the BIOS to the most recent iteration for my MOBO, this also had no change. Previously, I had set up an overclock profile for my FX-6300 (very minimal changes) however, I didn't reset these settings before installing the FX-8350.

Unfortunately as you can probably tell, I my knowledge extends just far enough to get me into trouble. Let me know if further info is needed. I appreciate the help and I apologize if I'm missing something obvious.

Update: I reset/cleared the CMOS RTC RAM data on my MOBO by moving the pin as directed in my MOBO user guide. I went back to BIOS and didn't change anything but saved and reset. This lead to no change as the PC still wouldn't boot windows and instead did the endless boot-loop.

My next change was to reset/clear the CMOS RTC RAM data while also simultaneously having the MOBO battery removed. Then, being the amazing scientist I am, added a second variable by removing my 2nd stick of RAM. I powered up the PC with the 2nd stick or RAM still removed. I entered BIOS again and immediately saved and reset. Then it booted up windows without issue. I shut down normally and re-inserted my 2nd stick of RAM. I turned the power back on and...

Hopefully this can possibly help someone in the future.
