I have a Windows 7 32 bit computer, i3-2328M 2.20GHz, 4 GBs of RAM and every time I try to change the settings of my screen saver, like the time it takes to display, the type of screensaver, it applies the changes of course, but the changes last for that session.
(It's been a year almost)

For example if I had to reebot the PC, after changing the type of screen saver from "photos" to "3d text", after the reebot the screensaver would be "Photos" again, even if I changed it before.

A curious fact is that this doesn't happen ALWAYS, most of the times it does, but sometimes it doesn't.

Help please? It's not a big problem of course, but the fact is that I have the "password is required after the screensaver" option enabled, and since my PC is really old (4 years) it really slows down the process, so every 5 minutes I have to move the mouse to avoid the screensaver.
A few times it also completely freezed Windows and I had to force the pc to turn off, which is not that good.

You can make you computer never fall asleep with the power options.

Make sure you are clicking the "Apply" button followed by the "OK" button.
