Is my Gpu holding back my game performance?

i recently upgraded my processor from core 2 duo e8500 @3.16 Ghz to I5 2400 @3.10 Ghz but there is no difference in game FPS, is my GT 630 Gpu holding back my game performance, and is processor upgrade worth if i upgrade my GPU?

Yeah is probably your GPU if theres no change. Can you check GPU usage % when gaming? If its 100% then a CPU upgrade wont change anything (but will allow you to use a better card).

I'd recommend an Nvidia card to avoid issues with cross-platform drivers, and yes the 1050Ti would be ideal.

Your GPU is already at its maximum performance so even the most powerful CPU in the World wont help.

Psu is 600w frontech, i only have pci express 1.0 support on my board. And in that chart why gtx 750 ti is performing better than gtx 960?

Thats a 780Ti not 750Ti. Dont mistake the two.. What board do you have? But yeah, PCIE 1.0 wont be enough for a modern card.

Your mobo (not great) has 1 PCIe x16 slot - good. PSU is not one that I would have a lot of faith in.

I cant find any specs for it. Can you run GpuZ to check PCIE version? If its 1.0 you really need a new board..

It's PCIE 2.0 probably. It only changes when not under load. That webpage just wont open for me sadly. Whtever it says when GPU is under load is the right one.

If it's 2.0 you can use a 1050Ti no probs, and you dont have to get a new PSU but it would be a very very good idea.

BTW the PSU I linked is more than you need but if you upgrade further in the future you will have ample headroom for a better gpu. Seasonic makes some of the best PSUs and that is a pretty good price.
