Any point to upgrading CPU? Mobile GPU bottlenecking?

My laptop has an AMD FirePro M6100 (identified as Radeon 8950M in Crimson drivers). The laptop's CPU is on the weak side - a dual core i5 w/ HT (i5-2520M). Could the CPU be bottlenecking my GPU? Fortunately, the CPU *is* upgradeable, so would I see any performance benefit in games from upgrading to an i7-2720qm? The laptop is a Dell Precision M6600.

Most of my benchmarks for the FirePro are a little shy of what a desktop 750 Ti would get (e.g., it gets a Fire Strike graphics score ~4000.) As far as gaming is concerned, is there any point to upgrading to a quad? It plays Fallout 4 and other "quad required" games fine, probably thanks to the hyperthreading.

Solution
Unless you notice stuttering in games, no its not a bottleneck. The i7 would be an ok upgrade, won't make a huge difference, but you can probably get it used cheap. Under $50 its probably worth it.
