I've changed cmos batteries before but this is a little different. There is a black plastic piece cover a 1/4 of the battery. It's attached to the disconnect clip. (What you would push in to get the battery to come out) How do I remove this? I started prying but stopped myself as I'm afraid of breaking the plastic. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

Ok, I figured this out. There are three different kinds of CMOS Battery Holders for the Dell t3500 depending on the motherboard. One has a clip, one is just pushed forward and comes out.... and this one was mine which I could not find in any T3500 Motherboard Threads:

Anyway, I'm not sure if this can help anyone but figured it would not hurt to post it just in case someone else has the same question.
