I got a cheap budget PC build about a year ago and decided to upgrade it by putting a GTX 1070 in it recently. I installed the GPU and I only received about 20 fps average more than previously. I don't know what to upgrade next but I think my CPU might be bottlenecking my new graphics card.

Specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB

RAM: 8GB HyperX Fury DDR4

MOBO: MSI A68HM-E33 V2

Well U Need To Upgrade Ur Cpu . Ur Ram Is Ok Ur Gpu Upgraded Well . So I Suggest U (2 Options) :

If u Have Money In Budget Go For Intel Mobo And Get A Better Intel Processors

If U Dont Have Enough Money U Should Afford A Better Cpu In The Same Socket :

But I See About 5% More performance With This Cpu So I Extremely Dont Waste Ur Money Buying This Cpu

U Can Overclock Ur Cpu Too To See Lower Bottleneck Until U Got Enough Money To Change Ur Mobo :)

The AMD Athlon x4 860K has an unlocked CPU multiplier. You simply raise the multiplier to over-clock the CPU. The clock speed of your CPU is determined by the multiplier times the clock speed.

For a stable OC, you should...

For a stable OC, you should disable 'Turbo' and take manual control of your CPU voltage -- that's pretty much it. Use AMD OverDrive to monitor your CPU temps and test for stability.

Keep your volts as low as possible -- higher volts = more heat. Good aftermarket cooling can help keep your temps down and increase your OC.

U may See Instability Higher Than 4.2 Ghz So You should likely take manual control of your voltages, and keep then as low as possible.
