So I plan on buying the 1060 and I already have another gpu but it's an older generation. Can I use both to enhance my performance?

Solution
The answer is yes and no. Btw, what's your old gpu? You can use the second gpu with games supporting(as I know there's only ashes of the singularity) DirectX 12's Multi-Explicit Adapter. It works well if the two cards don't have a very huge diffrence in performance(e.g.: gtx 1080 & 960 is the maximum acceptable difference), if the gap is too big, it will cause frame tearing.
