Hi, following the failure of a RAID 0 disk on my computer I have really messed something up.
I had a PC with 3x 1GB HDD's. 2 of the HDD's were in a RAID 0 configuration with the OS, etc on.
The third HDD was non-RAID and contained most of my data.
I went into the Intel RAID setup and made a stupid mistake. Realising one of the HDD's in the RAID 0 group had failed and that anything on the RAID 0 drive was lost, I selected the option to return the set up to non-raid (thinking I would use the still working disk of the two for something else).
Up to now, I think my data on the third HDD was safe as it was never part of the original RAID 0.
Now the mistake, while in the Intel RAID setup I stupidly then thought I would see what it does and selected the option to create a RAID 0 set up. Yes, you guessed it, which included the original third non-RAID HDD with my data on it!
So, long story, but the question is, have I trashed my data on that third drive which I have accidentally added to a RAID 0 group? Is there any way to set it back to non-RAID and recover the data from it?
Other than adding it to the RAID 0 group I have not done anything else, not installed anything.
