Hi guys i would like to change my Gc on my pc as it grew old. My motherboard doesnt support overclocking and i dont want to buy new one i just want a better GC.

Cpu - 4Core Intel Core i5 2300K 2.8 Ghz Socket 1155LGA
GC- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 GDDR5
RAM - 8GB Kingston DDR3
Motherboard- H67MA-USB3-B3 PCi Express
HDD- 1TB SATA 7200rpm
Power supply- 520W Seasonic
OS- Windows 10

Solution
A GTX 970 would fit nicely into that setup with a similar TDP. The GTX 980 has a slightly higher TDP, but your PSU should have no problem. I'm not sure if your CPU would not bottleneck with a 1070/1080. It seems the 970/980 is the sweet spot for you.

I would also want to upgrade your CPU if you want a new GPU.

If you will get a gtx 970 or 980 as George Mulligan said, your CPU will most likely be a bottleneck. So you don't get the maximum performance out of your new GPU.

If you do not want to upgrade your CPU, I would go with a gtx 750ti.

Yeah but in order to do that i would also probably need a new motherboard as my current one wouldnt be compatible with my new cpu so i am not sure if i should by 970 or 750

Well, as I said, if you buy a 970 your cpu will most likely bottleneck your gpu. So you waste a lot of money than, unless you buy a new and better cpu.
But if you need to buy a new motherboard as well, you would do better if you just buy a complete new PC.

The i5 2300k should handle a 750ti just fine. Besides, the 750ti is way cheaper than the 970 and it's still a pretty decent card.
