When building my pc before booting I decided to try out the ez tuning wizard RAID feature to change my hdd to raid, but after this my pc won't recognise that any hard drives have been put in and therefore will not boot, does this mean that the entire system is broken

(I initially thought that the hard drive was broken so I bought a new one but the new one also is not being recognised)

Solution

So it sounds like the boot sector got wiped but I would think the data is still intact. Give it a try. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work.

Hard to say since Asus, or any motherboard manufacturer for that matter, changes the layout of their BIOS frequently. Perhaps under a heading called "Storage Configuration" maybe? If you know the model of your motherboard you can always go to the Asus website on another device and look for the manual. Then just do a "Find..." inside the PDF and look for "AHCI" to see if you can find it quicker.
