Fx 8350 vs i5 3470 in BF1

Hello

I'm considering to buy a new CPU to replace my old 3470. So far I have a RX 480 and a 8gb ram. I'm gonna play BF1 and I knew there's an issue where bf1 'eat' a lot of CPU. I consider a fx 8350 to replace it. Some videos I saw at youtube show that 8350 works better than 3470 in bf1. I also found 2500k and i want to oc it, but find a z77 or p67 around me it's kinda hard..

Those two CPUs are actually pretty similar in BF1, but the i5 will be much faster in better threaded games. The FX is more comparable to an i3.

How about an i7 3770 into your existing motherboard? It will probably be cheaper than a much slower CPU + motherboard.

Edit: FYI the FX is close to a year older than your i5.

Thanks for the advice by the way. i7 3770 is rare but I will keep searching it. Or should I wait for Zen? I don't put Zen to my list because we still don't know the price for mainstream class processor

Incorrect in heavily threaded apps the FX will crush an i5 and push an i7
