I am looking to get a new cooler for my PC, I was looking at the corsair h100i v2 but the water cooling aspect has me a little on edge (I don't know if I could install it then leave it for 6 months and check it then leave it) so I was wondering what would be the best type of cooler to get, as I have no idea personally so I was wondering what your guys input is. RAM Clearance is a big worry for my for example if I got a big air cooler.

Solution
Yes it will fit.

14nm skylake runs cool.
No exotic cooling is required.
Even if you overclock, you will run out of safe vcore before you really run into thermal limits.
A simple tower type air cooler with a 120mm fan will do the job.
Scythe Kotetsu, cryorig H7, cm hyper212 are all about $35.

A noctua NH-U14s is about the best there is.

My main problem is my ram clearance as at the time I bought 16gb of the Corsair red LED ram sticks. I was worried that the clearance wouldn't be enough if I got the 212 Evo.

Then, Look at the noctua NH-U12s or NH-U14s.
the s variants were redesigned to clear high ram sticks.
They also are offset a bit so that graphics cards in the first pciex16 slots do not interfere.

NH-D15s is also a possibility, but, it is very large and really not needed.

Go to the noctua web site for details and dimensions.

Yea I did look at this cooler, I take it even my huge ass led ram would fit with this cooler if it does I will most likely purchase it.
