Alright I apologize for my english right at the start, but my question is what graphics card is the best for these specs.

Motherboard: Nvidia AWRDACPI X86-Based PC
Processor: AMD Sempron 2800+, MMX, 3DNow, 1.6ghz
Ram: 2 GB
HDD: 150 GB
My current Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9250, 256 MB
OS: Windows XP 32Bit SP3 (Since my graphics card Drivers can't run on Windows 7).

I really wanna play Battlefield 2 and apparentley my graphics card can handle it according to the minimum system requirements of the game but every time I run the game, intro shows up and play and when it's time to open main menu it crashes and says that Graphics card stopped working.
I did updated my drivers to the latest and problem is the same every time.

So I'm wondering what Graphics card is good enough for Battlefield 2, but that my motherboard can handle.

Thank you for your feedback :D

If you are having a problem with a specific game and not a general problem with your PC then you would be better off posting in that game's forum or reddit.

No one here is going to know specific issues with a game that is too old for some people here to even have played it :p

Okay wait a moment... you have windows xp, 2gb of ram, and 256 mb of vram?! Seriously, I would just get a new PC for under $500, or are you just kid playing around on their computer? Even someone working at Mcdonalds could get something like that in a couple weeks. If I were you I would just give up on a PC like that and get a new one.

Just get any AGP card you could get a hand on.
Just make sure it is Of the Radeon 9000 series or better (9500 is already capable) or Geforce FX series.
The fastest AGP cards produced were the Radeon HD 3850 and HD 4670.
That is the range of cards you want to take a look at.
Do you have similar issues with other games? That might hint to a problem with the card, if not, there might be an issue with the game.

If you don't use that machine for specific purposes (like playing games on a era correct "retro" system), building a new rig might actually be a very cheap option. Even a Pentium G4500 and any A8/A10 APU with the integrated graphics far outperforms your current setup.

Alright.. first of all I'm 18 fyi, second of all I'm still going to school and in my country which is croatia PCs are very expenssive. 500 $ for a new PC in our money is enough to buy myself new one from the store but by our standards if we consider how much we get paid working at example McDonalds it will cost me cca 1000 $ for used PC which has 2.0 ghz, 4 gb of ram and 1gb vram and god knows how much time will that PC work propperly because that's too cheap for a PC like that in our money.
basically our country is <Mod Edit> up because people don't get paid enough to cover some things that are cheap in those fancy countries you all live in :) thank you for your reply

Hey, I would really suggest you to just buy used PC with Core 2 Duo and some cheap GPU later when you save some money because investing in your current PC is waste of money!
I also come from poor country (Srbija za tvoju informaciju hah), so look at prices of used PC's, I think you can maybe transfer HDD and RAM in new PC.
New PC with Core 2 Duo should cost around 30$-40$.
Good luck bro

Under the message from the man who sent it to you, you have like reply-quote, it works the same way as reply :)
How much costs Core2Duo PC in Croatia?
I would aim for Core 2 Quad, but even C2Duo is ok for beginning, as you can buy CPU later !

oh okay thank you, well I found brand new PC with Core2Duo 2.2ghz and it costs around 800$ it has intergrated 512mb Intel HD graphics and 2gb of ram and I have to pay another 150$ for windows, and a used one which has everything same like that one except it doesn't have graphics card and it has AGP port, that one costs around 500$. But I found myself a nice motherboard because your idea of buying used PC and putting RAM and HDD into it really got my attention. It has Core2Duo 2.2 ghz which has PCI-e port for graphics and I can put my RAM and buy myself stronger Graphics Card and it will cost me around 300$ which is affordable for me.

DON'T BUY NEW CORE 2 DUO PC, also 300$ is WAY too much for that PC !!!
By the way, give me link of sites you use in Croatia so I can find you very cheap PC, for around 150Euros/Dollars !
