I recently have gathered the parts for a potential gaming pc and workstation. I hope to accomplish 1920x1080@60fps with modern AAA games. I also plan on using it for video editing, rendering, and school work, and not exactly necessary, but also recording and streaming.

I would like feedback on this build and any comments on any changes I should do. I am going with a black and white theme throughout the build.

Solution
1. get a better PSU, such as a EVGA SuperNOVA 650 P2.
2. A Gtx 1070 GPU would better suite your needs.
3. Get a larger SSD. Store the projects that are in progress on the SSD and archive completed work to the HDD. This will dramatically speed up your workflow.
The 500W PSU will work but you would be better off with a bit more head room so you don't tax it so heavily. Don't try to save any bucks on a PSU. Everything else in the box depends on clean, stable power.

You should probably get the Professional version of Windows.

That build leans more toward video editing than gaming. There are already several games a 1060 won't play at 1080p60.

If you can wait a while, you may want to see what AMD's Zen 8 core CPU and AM4 MBs will be like regarding price and performance. They're due in February.

You might save enough to afford a 1070 without sacrificing performance. You could even gain some performance in video editing, and obviously in gaming too if it helps afford a faster GPU.

I probably won't be ordering the parts until my budget is safe and I have some confidence in buying. I'll keep this in mind but as of now I'll have the 1070 on the list. I gathered these parts so I know the standards that I wanna achieve.
