HI. Does anyone have any experience with OC'ing a XFX RX 480 8Gb GTR? i cant seem to get a stable OC at all, not even 20MHz above its boost clock (1290 MHZ).

My temps appear stable and the fan is no where near its top end speeds either when it fails. I also have my pwr % at 150 (maximum allowed) and my readings are that I'm getting the full 1310 MHz but it does fail in a 10-60 min test.

I'm not overly experienced with OC'ing so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks guys!
Louis.

Solution
the voltages were left at 1150. by not at full load i meant they weren't working especially hard and temps were still below the target of 70c. i have give it another go and managed to get a stable OC at 1320MHz (+30 MHz from stock). i did notice though that on GPU-Z on previous attempts my voltages were showing to be around 1170 mV which is higher than the max! this time they are ateady at 1150 mV and the OC is stable. hmmm i wonder what was causing the excess voltage as none of my settings were that high and in fact the wattman software wont allow >1150 mV. strange haha!

Glad to hear you got a successful OC! Most RX 480s don't push up above 1400 Mhz, so 1320 Mhz is quite good. Have fun gaming!
