Hello! I have just completed my first computer build and am ready to order my parts, however, I wanted to ask everybody here about their opinion. My budget was $800 (I'm Canadian) and this PC's main purpose is gaming. Here is my build:

Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Pro4S
CPU: Intel i5-6500
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1050
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4-2133
Storage: Sandisk Z400s 128GB 2.5" SSD
Power Supply: Seasonic 450W
Case: Deepcool Tesseract SW
CPU cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo

I know that the processor is a little overkill, but I plan to upgrade the graphics card in a few months and don't want to buy a new processor at that time.

TLDR; Is everything in this build compatible? Could I improve my build in any way? Feedback is greatly appreciated and I am open to criticism.

Thanks

If you want to avoid upgrading later, i'd really try and spring for a 6600k. It really won't be overkill when you upgrade your graphics card.

Seems like a pretty good build to me. Since pcpartpick found no incompatibility, I would say that all is good. I've used this site many times to build custom pc's (even my own) and it has saved me countless hours of finding what parts are compatible. If you have the extra money, maybe a GTX 1060 3gb or an Rx470 would be a bit better.

Hope this helps.
