So I tried installing a new ssd that I got recently and when I starTed the computer up, it gave me a error saying I need to select a boot device. I had it to boot off of my hdd with windows 7. It kept sending me back to the error. After messing with some bios setting, changed one - two things, and now is stuck in efi shell. How do I fix this?

Hey there, Jacob_148.

I'd suggest that you try clearing the CMOS by removing the battery and placing it back, to see if that fixes things up. If you're able to get to your BIOS/UEFI, resetting it to its default setting or reversing whatever option you might have changed, could fix the problem. You could also check the motherboard's user manual on how to deal with that or contact the customer support.
Basically for the first type of issue, checking the boot order menu and selecting the HDD as the first booting option might have solved things up.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
