Should I upgrade to a 1070 for 1440p now or wait for volta?

I'm considering buying a 1070 & a 1440p monitor to go with it.

I'm debating if this is a good time to upgrade or if I should wait for the volta cards. Currently I'm running a 680.

Will a 1070 run 1440p at 60fps for most games for at least the next 2 to 3 years?

Your advise will be greatly appreciated.

Not at ultra, but from medium to high settings probably it will run them all with 60 fps for 2-3 years. No one knows when Volta will arrive, but not before summer or autumn this year, so depends if you wanna wait 6-9 months (possibly longer) or you need a card more sooner.
