Title contains question. My PC is 2 years old and currently running on a Asus 750Ti. **Considering upgrading my GPU to a GTX 1060, but not sure if it's worth it.**

If I do upgrade, I would also like to ask **what the difference is between a Zotac, Asus, Gigabyte, etc.**

Would be important probably to state that I'm currently running an i7-4790, with a Asus 750Ti OC 2GD5.

-edit- Please feel free to ask questions or clarify things or advise me. Sorry if I seem quite ignorant, I'm still quite new to the whole PC building and upgrading game. :)
Thanks!

Yes, it is definitely worth the upgrade. The GTX 1060 is 183% better than the Asus 750 TI. The difference between all the brance such as Zotac, Asus, and Gigabyte is they can all have different clock speeds and heatsinks and maybe even completely different designs. For example, the RX 470 PowerColor Red Devil is 1% better than the Radeon RX 470 due to clock speeds and.

Umm, if you're on the fence don't do anything just now. A 1060 6gb will realistically be like a 85% upgrade over a 750ti. Can you still do everything you want with your 750ti? I'd just save up for a 1070 in a few weeks. The 1070 easily triples up the performance of a 750ti.

Yes you definitely are able to upgrade to a gtx 1060. Even a gtx 1070 could be placed in your PC. So if you could save up more money, you should get the gtx 1070. The i7 4490 is a good cpu so it should handle it very well. I don't know how much ram you have installed. But I recommend having a minimum of 16 GB ram. If you have an i7 4490, 16GB ram and a gtx 1060/1070, you have a really good PC!

That game debate rating is way way off the mark aswell , the 750ti was rated a 6 4 years ago when compared to cards from the same era.
It'd be a 3 or 4 now comparitively.

Doom 3 & GTA v offhand - 1080p high/ultra the 750ti would struggle to maintain 30fps, the 1060 will push a constant 80-110fps.
Massive massive upgrade - your PSU is no issue at all.
