Yes, it can be upgraded. There are tutorials on YouTube on how to open it for upgrading RAM, SSD and whatnot.

Please be careful as opening a laptop isn't as near friendly as opening a desktop, in case you don't feel comfortable doing it, take it to a certified technician in your area.

As for CAD, 8 GB will help but it won't make any miracles unless your config has a dedicated GPU.

Good luck and happy 2017!

when I open the laptop I found 2 slots of RAM. Therefore I buy 8GB DDR4 2400 Team group type.
In Laptop I found 4GB 2133 DDR4 with different timing.
So, I install the 2nd RAM today and the laptop work fine until now with 12GB of RAM without problem?
I tried render a 3d drawing in autocad and it take 7.6GB with 100%CPU load without blue screen.
Is 20133 bus speed compatible with 2400 with different timing?

The ram speed of the laptop will default to the lowest speed ram chip installed.

Be careful, your laptop DOES NOT support DDR4 RAM, it only supports DDR3L (Low Voltage).
