Just installed a new amd FX-8350 (the black edition, not the wraith cooler) into my asus m5a78l-m/usb3 (yes I know of compatibility issues, ive turned off two of the cores and that has fixed that problem.) and everything is good, games are running smoothly, and temps appear to be fine around 55c when playing GTAV, but, the fan speed never goes above 3395, even when Q-fan is off in the BIOS and the fan is at 100%, the speed never goes to 5000/6000 like you expect from amd's fans.
Perhaps im being misled by amd's shoddy temp monitoring, but ive had no thermal throttling so far? Any advice to help clear up this confusion would be appreciated.
