OS freezes when trying to install Chipset Drivers for "Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura"

Hello, I'm trying to install the chipset drivers for Asus Pro Gaming Aura after a clean install of Windows 7 64bit. While installing the driver, my PC completely froze up, forcing me to hard restart. I'm able to install other drivers like LAN and NET Framework fine from the installation disk provided but when it comes to the Chipset driver it completely freezes.

Furthermore, I tried downloading the latest chipset drivers of Asus's website in hope that, that driver would work instead. My PC can't seem to detect any USB drives at all. It works fine with peripherals but not with USB drives.

UPDATE

I managed to get the Chipset Drivers to install but not using the one that came along with the installation disk. I did so by downloading the one from ASUS website and BURNING the driver onto a DVD. I then installed the updated Chipset driver and it worked out well.

I'm quite annoyed that ASUS would ship a driver that could not be installed right out of the box. I hoped anyone else who is using th ASUS Z180 Pro Gaming/Aura could benefit from this.
