Hello and thanks in advance for your interest.

I have an old portable computer (Pre-laptop) and need help with the video adapter. The connecter to the monitor is female 15 pin, but the connector to the motherboard is male, 9 pins. I have a cord that has two male 15 pin ends. What do I need to make this work?

The picture you show has the monitor output labeled. This is a discrete GPU. You should just need to connect this output directly to monitor using the cable you have mentioned in first post. I'd also recommend a good cleaning, as PC looks pretty dirty on outside. Likely worse inside. Also, looks like an old dial-up modem in there. Not sure of your plans for this PC. Looks like an old IBM.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what to do.

I'll do a little more research. The cable may be hiding somewhere. I didn't look behind the screen. The cable for the keyboard was behind the keyboard.
