My PC build
Intel i5 4690 (non K)
Gigabyte H97 d3h Mbo
Seasonic 620w s12ii PSU
samsung 24f350 monitor(1080,60hz,ips)
*i don't use any Cooler as of now

I have a Freesync monitor and i am confused whether to go with Rx470 4gb or Gtx 1060 3gb i am totally happy with the benchmarks i seen for 470 but friends keep saying 470 will heat more than 1060 and also Amd has bad driver issue always .i don't mind the drivers but i want to know if 470 heats more than 1060

Solution

You will have no problems with heat and especially if you use MSI Afterburner and set up a custom fan profile. Even if you don't you will be fine. The MSI Gaming X has a great cooler and performance. You won't be disappointed.

The 1060 is equivalent too a 480 so the 1060 is faster but having a Freesync monitor and not an AMD card seems mad to me, although the 470 is weaker because it can use freesync it should be a much smoother experience.

Where? Show me a review where a 470 beats the 1060. The 1060 & 480 trade blows at DX12 but the 1060 dominates in DX11.

If you didn't have a Freesync monitor then I would recommend the 1060 but only by a little. Since you have a Freesync monitor then go with the RX 470 all the way. There is no reason to choose the 1060 over the 470 in your situation.

both are the same price actually thats the reason i actually asked here .as far i seen 1060 was better than 470 but @60fps 1080p there were barely differences
