So I've been having problems with my cpu not booting when i have both of my ram sticks installed.

They both work, i tried changing them out but it seems like the firsr socket does not work.

That being said, i removed my cpu fan to see if anything was wrong with the cpu and noticed that the thermal paste pre applied doesn't make contact with my cpu.

Is this bad? Should i buy more and make it thicker?

Also, i noticed a few of my pins are bent on the mobo socket, could this have anything to do with it? Can i bend them back safely?

I've been thinking about buying a different mobo, but i want to try to save this one if possible.

Please help!

Check that your heatsink is not being obstructed by your RAM. Non contact is very bad. It may be that you're just not mounting your heatsink properly. Check that there isn't something on the motherboard blocking it or holding it up so it isn't seated properly.
