Okey so I have a gigabyte ga-h110m-a and I had 2 4gb ram sticks in there. I decided to upgrade my ram so I unplug the ac cable from the psu. My eps cable to my CPU is in the way so I unplug that then go on take out the ram. I put in the new ram and then plug the eps cable back on. Plug in the ac cable and turn the system on. My screen stays blank saying no hdmi signal my fans and gpu turn on for about 10 seconds then shut off and restart in like 5 seconds. I've tried switching the ram spots. Removed the cmos battery. I've tried many things the thing that grabs my attention is that I try to start my system with the old ram and the same thing the fans and gpu turn on and off. Even though it was working yesterday just fine. So now I'm not sure if I messed up my mobo or my ram is compatible which I'm sure it is because I made another thread about it and they said it was compatible.

the old ram and the new ram, are the same brand and speed?

after installing new ram, did you verified all modules were properly inserted?

about what you disconected, cpu fan connector? cpu 8 pin cable?

be sure you reconnected those properly, if the system can't see the cpu fan, it will not turn on in most mainboards or turn on and turn off inmediatelly

Old ram I'm not sure what it is but the new ram i made sure it was same speed and etc. It's ripjaw 16gb ddr4 sdram.

What do you mean by modules?

I disconnected the CPU 4 pin connecter and then reconnected after installing new ram. The CPU fan runs on the motherboard so the 4 pin connector doesn't affect it.

but did you reconnected it on the cpu fan connector? if it is connected in a system fan connector, that is a problem for the mainboard

about modules, ram modules, ram stick if you call them

the old ram and the new ram could be different speeds or incopatible between them, not a rare situation

what type of mtherboard do you have

the ram slots are 2 with one color and two with another?

Yes I reconnected the CPU fan and eps cable.

Yes I made sure ram sticks were installed correctly I reinstalled about 3 times now no luck.

I made sure the new and old ram are the same speeds and type.

I have a gigabyte ga-h110m-a mobo.

There is only 2 ram slots both are black.

ok, then try with only the 16 gb ram module

verify everything again, sometimes when you touch ram and mainboard, static charge can give you these fun moments, the recomendarion, is check everything and youch everything, but is a risk, a not properly grounded case or you , not properly grounded can cause a discharge and damage the aminboard, not common but possible, easy to happen if you are over a carpet
