So today i was doing some troubleshooting as to why i was getting several bsod that were causing the rig to shut down or lose power unexpectedly .
Checked ram modules , did clean install of os . Come to find out the only problem was the fact i was using a standard , can buy anywhere cheap power cable for my psu . My psu being a 1200 watt unit needed higher capacity cable to sustain itself . Switch to the heavy duty cable that came with the psu , no crashes since . Just putting this out there for anyone who may end up having the same problem and cant figure this out . I have worked on computers for about 18 years and have never came accross this problem as i have never used anything over 650 watts till now . So hopefully this helps someone out .

Cheers

It also would depend on where you're located. I've come across 3 pronged power cables which were devoid of a fuse that apparently burned out in a few short months. It never hurts to but quality and reliable components and the exterior of the case is no exception. For added measure, folks who do venture to >850W of PSU's need to make sure their wiring in their residence isn't under par since it can trip your breakers or worse set your house on fir if the wiring was dodgy to begin with.

I shouldn't have to mention the need for a proper ground since that will also help your system and the audio.

I have to agree on this, I upgraded my 520 watts Seasonic Platinum to 750 watts Seasonic Titanium and used the power cable of my Seasonic Platinum, went to sleep and woke up then I see my PC rebooted while I'm sleeping which is the first time. I checked the power cable that comes from the Titanium and to my surprise is so much thicker than the platinum one so I know that's the problem. Glad I didn't stress test this to the full load yet.

And here I googled and found this problem too that really confirms it. Thank you for this post:D
