I bought a new PSU at the recommendation of a friend after some unexpected poor performance in some games. I wanted a better PSU anyway. So I place my PC on my floor (thin rug), touch the detached side panel for static and started unplugging everything. Idiotically I tilted the computer back a bit to see inside better, when it slipped from under my hand and hit the rug from maybe half a foot. Okay, that's bad, hopefully nothing happened.
I eventually connect the new PSU in after doing a bit of cable management and then plug the computer in. I start trying to figure out where the system header pins connect to, mixing and matching until the computer turns on. After a while with no success, the computer doesn't turn on but I hear a feint buzzing sound in maybe 2-3 second intervals. I keep trying to move the header cables but this is the most that happens. I don't know where this sound is coming from. Did I screw my computer? What could be wrong? I could REALLY use some help! Please and thank you.
Update: I tried switching the PSU with my old one and now the case fans, GPU, and computer seems to start, but the CPU fan doesn't start and there's no input going to my monitors. Not sure what's going on. I'm pretty sure everything is connected.
