HDMI plugged into desktop and tv but still no connection

I just built a new gaming computer and everything works so far, CPU fans spin and so does gpu fans. All the lights work and everything. But I don't have a regular monitor that has an hdmi port so I'm trying to use a regular tv. So far I've tried on 2 and still no signal. I have the hdmh plugged into my gigabyte GeForce 1050 and not my motherboard but still won't connect. I can't use a regular monitor because I do not have regular pc connection thing I forget what it's called. Any help?

It is on the right input, I plugged the hdmi into the hdmi port from my gpu and that into hdmi 1 on my tv, then select hdmi 1 and no signal.

Nope, and idk of this is supposed to happen but when I turn it on it goes then everything turns off then it all goes on again. I know 20+4 pin is all the way in so it's not that

Well since I never got added I'll just continue. It's a core i3 processor with a ga-h110m-a micro atx motherboard, with a 1 tb he'd and a 120 go ssd. Also got a gigabyte geoforce gtx 1050 graphics card and 2x4 sticks of ram
