So i've upgraded my mobo, cpu, ram and gpu and am having some issues.
Everything is brand new and the cpu was installed into the mobo along with the ram and tested in store. Brought it all home, hooked it up and i'm getting no post out of it. It all starts up, fans are running, lights are on, but the monitor is getting no signal and no beeps at all. The vga led is lighting up too which which is showing a gpu issue but it should be compatible from what I can tell. Also when I go to plug the 4 pin connector from the front case system fan in to the mobo the whole thing won't start up at all.
My specs:
h170 gaming m3 mobo
i3 6100 cpu
kingston 8gb 2133mhz ddr4
geforce gtx 1050
450w psu

things to try. Re-attach all cables from the PSU. Also re-seat all ram modules, addin cards (GPU, PCIe cards etc). and see if that fixes things. If not you need to do a bare bones build. To do that you need to remove your motherboard from the case (and PSU) and using a non-conductive hard surface build your PC outside of your case and see if it powers on. This will rule out any shorts from the case. Use static paper if you ave it but cardboard or wood will work in a pinch. If that does not solve your issue then you need to either go to a tech or if you have spare parts start swapping them out one by one to find the faulty issue. Also try booting with just one ram stick (try it with each stick once) and see if that helps you.
