Hi all, I have 2 RAM Sticks both labeled as "CML8GX3M2A1600C9B" (Corsair Vengeance Blue 2x4GB 1600* MHz (* = I suppose, because both BIOS and another software like Speccy say 1333 MHz, maybe I'm missing something).
The problem is that one of them is giving me serious struggles making my computer crash each time I turn it on giving me a nice BSOD with a MEMORY MANAGEMENT error. After some memtests and removing one stick per time I found the bad one.
Now the question is: could you suggest me which RAM Stick to buy KEEPING its same specifications in order to allow me using Dual Channel Memory mode, as cheap as possible?

Thank you!

Solution
on number two do you mean if you get mixed ram? if yes no the worse thing that will happen is the PC won't boot at all. clarify number 2 and I will see if i can answer you more fully.

You want all ram to be the exact same make and model for compatibility issues. It may not work otherwise or put you in mixed mode which is a hindrance on performance. If you know which stick is bad I would replace it immediately and see if that fixes your situation. As for the ram speed you frequently need to set it yourself in bios to ddr3 1600mhz or it will default to a lower speed like it has. Look up your rams spec'd settings and match those up in bios to get the correct speed, CL and voltages. LMK if I can help you further.

1) So because I have never touched any RAM settings in the BIOS, it's possibile that I've always user them at 1333 thinking at 1600 instead....nice one for me.

2) What could be the worst thing that can happen? Simply the Dual Channel Mode will stop working but computer won't. Am I right?
