Can't install Windows 8.1 onto Samsung 850 EVO SSD

I am trying to install Windows 8.1 onto this SSD from a usb. I am on the installation screen and I try to choose the drive as the installation location, but it says "We couldn't install Windows in the location you chose. Please check your media drive. Here's more info about what happened: 0x80300024."

Windows won't install onto a USB drive using the normal installer. You can use the "windows to go" feature to do this if you want to run windows from USB.

It would help if you would provide more detailed information about your problem...

1. Were you attempting to install Win 8.1 from a Microsoft Windows Media Tool that contained the Win 8.1 setup files?
2. What sort of system were you working with? Provide details if other drives are installed; other OS's installed, etc.
3. Was the Samsung SSD the only drive installed/connected in the system at the time of your attempt? (It would be best if that is the case).
4. You have a Win 8.1 license for activation purposes?

Did you even read his post? He's not installing onto a USB but an SSD.
